Our Vision

EGA seeks to provide high value-added, differentiated investment outcomes. We have structured the firm thoughtfully, methodically, and for the long-term with the right team, resources, and alignment with both our clients and among EGA's three principals. EGA is a specialist boutique that intentionally limits assets under management and invests in less efficient asset classes. We believe that this will give us a greater opportunity to generate superior excess returns for our clients.

Our Model

Our business model incorporates our vision. We will not be a large asset management firm offering everything to everybody or fall victim to group-think. EGA is a focused, specialized boutique that is serious about delivering sustainable alpha and improving the client experience for a select group of clients.

Experience

There is no replacing deeply experienced talent. Experience encompasses failure and learning from mistakes. It continuously shapes the investment process to help it evolve with changing markets over time. Experience is the beacon that guides investing during turbulent times.

Humility comes from experience. The longer the investment career, the more humble the portfolio manager becomes. Ironically, it is this humility that makes the portfolio manager a better investor. An investor will question assumptions more and become less emotional, as they understand that many factors are out of their control.

Optimism is inherent in our investment philosophy. To be a successful long-only investor, one must be an optimist. One has to believe in growth— that tomorrow will be better than today.
